SignFlow is an offline-first LED/neon message board app. It lets users create, preview, display, save, and manage scrolling or static text messages on their device.

Information Collection

The app's data practices are listed below.

Data CategoryCollection Details
Personal DataThe app does not require account registration or a user profile. User-entered message text may contain personal data if the user chooses to enter it. Message text and preferences are stored locally on the device.
Device DataThe app includes and initializes the Google Mobile Ads SDK. Banner ads are disabled in the current app configuration, but the SDK and Android build may include advertising and network-related device identifiers or signals if active in the build.
Usage DataThe app stores recent messages, saved messages, display settings, color preferences, speed settings, and distance settings locally on the device. No cloud analytics service is identified in the project.
Location DataNo location collection is identified in the project.
Files / Media AccessThe app allows users to optionally select a photo from their device to use as a custom signboard background. Selected photos are processed and stored locally on the device only and are never uploaded or transmitted off-device.

How Data Is Used

The app uses locally stored data to:

  • Display user-created messages.
  • Save recent and saved messages.
  • Preserve app preferences such as colors, speed, display distance, and related display settings.
  • Support app functions such as display, feedback, sharing the app link, and opening the Play Store listing.

The app does not use a cloud account system based on the project information reviewed.

Data Sharing

The app does not identify any developer-operated cloud data sharing for user-created messages or settings.

User data may leave the app only when the user chooses an external action, such as sending feedback through an email app or sharing app-related text through Android sharing features.

The app includes the Google Mobile Ads SDK. Banner ads are disabled in the current app configuration. If the SDK is active in a distributed build, Google may process data according to Google's own policies.

Third-Party Services

The project identifies the following third-party SDKs or platform services:

  • Google Mobile Ads SDK: included and initialized; banner ad loading is disabled in the current app configuration.
  • Android sharing and external app launch features: used for sharing app text, opening the Play Store, and opening the user's email app for feedback.
  • SharedPreferences: used for local device storage.

No Firebase Analytics, Crashlytics, Google Sign-In, Stripe, or cloud API integration is identified in the project.

Android Permissions

The app's main Android manifest does not define location, camera, microphone, contacts, or files/media permissions.

The Android build may include permissions from app dependencies, including:

  • android.permission.INTERNET
  • android.permission.ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE
  • com.google.android.gms.permission.AD_ID
  • android.permission.ACCESS_ADSERVICES_AD_ID
  • android.permission.ACCESS_ADSERVICES_ATTRIBUTION
  • android.permission.ACCESS_ADSERVICES_TOPICS
  • android.permission.WAKE_LOCK
  • android.permission.FOREGROUND_SERVICE

These permissions support SDK/network functionality, advertising SDK declarations, and keeping the screen active while displaying messages.

Data Security

The app stores messages and preferences locally using Android app storage through SharedPreferences. Users should avoid entering sensitive personal information into message text if they do not want it stored on the device.

No method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure, so absolute security cannot be guaranteed.

Data Storage

  • Local storage: YES. Recent messages, saved messages, and preferences are stored locally on the device.
  • Cloud storage: NO cloud storage provider is identified in the project.

Data Retention

Locally stored messages and settings remain on the device until the user deletes them in the app where available, clears the app's data, or uninstalls the app.

Feedback emails are handled by the user's selected email app and email provider, not by in-app cloud storage.

Children's Privacy

The project information reviewed does not identify SignFlow as an app directed to children under 13.

The app does not require account registration. If a parent or guardian believes that a child has provided personal information through feedback email or message content, they may contact the developer using the email address below.

User Rights

Users may:

  • View, edit, or delete locally saved messages where the app provides those controls.
  • Clear app data through Android system settings.
  • Uninstall the app to remove locally stored app data from the device.
  • Contact the developer to request information or deletion related to any data sent directly by email.

Changes to This Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. Any changes will be posted in the updated version of this policy.
